Simple and cost-effective
PCA aerators with integrated flow regulators can be used in bathroom and kitchen faucets. The same flow regulator technology is available for hand showers, shower heads, bib taps and pillar taps: a few simple steps are all it takes to replace the existing washer with one that boasts an integrated flow regulator. This technology makes it possible to achieve significant savings, reducing water consumption by 30 to 70%. And, thanks to standard sizes worldwide, PCA aerators and water-saving components can be utilized practically in any faucet – simply and cost-effectively. As a result, retrofitting water-saving components in existing plumbing systems is easy.

Just as much water as is needed
With the integrated flow regulator, the water-saving components maintain a specific constant flow rate, for example 6 l/min at a pressure of 0.8 to 5.5 bar. With a PCA aerator, air is blended into the water stream – so even though less water is flowing, the water stream retains its power.

A flow regulator is comprised of a housing and a rubber ring. It ensures a constant flow rate that is independent of the pressure.


Little water – little pressureThe pressure causes the ring to change shape. The opening through which the water passes becomes smaller.

Lots of water – high pressureThe increasing pressure causes further changes to the shape of the ring: the more pressure, the smaller the opening through which the water passes. Thus the volume of water flowing through remains constant.
